While exploring the sleepy town of Haines, Alaska, I came across this abandoned canoe on the front porch of what used to be a house for enlisted men stationed at Fort William H. Seward.

Situated within the 17-million acre Tongass National Forest in Sitka, Alaska is this small hiding place. One can climb inside to get out of the rain while visiting the temperate rain forest.
