    View from the caboose on the White Pass and Yukon Route train, traveling from Skagway, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon. As the train crosses over, I can look down into the deep gulches going up the pass. by: pdolan1 Views[804] Situated within the 17-million acre Tongass National Forest in Sitka, Alaska is this small hiding place. One can climb inside to get out of the rain while visiting the temperate rain forest. by: pdolan1 Views[893] Along the Gold Creek trail in Juneau, Alaska, I found this hidden pond to rest by, after having lunch at a Salmon Bake. by: pdolan1 Views[278] While exploring the sleepy town of Haines, Alaska, I came across this abandoned canoe on the front porch of what used to be a house for enlisted men stationed at Fort William H. Seward. by: pdolan1 Views[309] Beside the Seward Highway, between Anchorage, Alaska and Kenai, one can still see remnants from the 1964 tsunami after the 9.2 Alaskan Earthquake. The once washed away landscape is now coming back and taking over everything that once stood. by: pdolan1 Views[1359]
