Nick and Bec's Big Trip Starting on the 29th of June 2008 Bec and I will be starting a year long adventure, spending 6 months in Africa and another 6 months in South America. It should be lots of fun.

1st post of the big trip.  We are currently in Grahams Town, South Africa restocking the truck with supplies.  To describe what we have done already would take an eternity, certainly longer than I have Rand to pay for it.  Here is the very short and probably quite inaccurate run down.  We have been to see Blyde River Canyon and spent a couple of days on Safari in Kruger National Park.  We saw heaps of animals from lions to crocodiles including elephants, rhino, impala, kudu, giraffes and plenty more.  The animals are fantastic.  I could watch them forever.  We have also been to Swazland, our 2nd country!

Yesterday we went to the Nelson Mandela museum.  It was a great experience, but very emotional.  I'll write more about it when I get a chance.

Today we are off to an elephant park for a afternoon safari and to sit and watch the elephants do there thing from a hide, hopefully whilst drinking a beer or two.
