The photos were taken during a recent trip visiting a friend in Savannah.
A deserted beach spreads across Blackbeard island. Savannah has many pristine beaches like this one that are preserved and only accessible by boat.
Returning to fisherman’s lodge. Fishing and boating is a popular pastime in this area and many locals own boats. A popular meaning for a boat here is “Broken Or About To.”
A couple is swinging their young girl as they pass by Lulu’s chocolate bar in downtown Savannah.
Locals having fun dancing to folk music on a Saturday night in a high school basketball court. It’s called contra dance and many of the people are beginners but it does not stop them from enjoying themselves.
At 178 steps above ground level this lighthouse on Tybee island is a site that has been preserved by the Tybee Island Historical Society and is a popular tourist attraction.
About me
I have been working for a software company for the last 12 years, since graduating college. I am originally from Cyprus, and I now live in Tucson, Arizona.
This would be the perfect career change for me because I am very passionate about photography and I am extremely patient about getting the shot. I am a self taught, always chasing the perfect light and shot, photo addict who would love the opportunity to learn by someone like Jason Edwards on such a great assignment.
For the last few years I have hiked many of southern Arizona’s trails photographing landscapes. But there is the side of me who loves to document the culture and everyday life of people in ordinary situations.
