The oldest bridge in the Czech Republic, rebuilt in 2002 after it was largely washed away by the flooding. The water level rose OVER the height of this bridge. Luckily Maria wasn't standing in this spot when the rains came... (more snow)

A quick drive to Pisek (oldest stone bridge in Cz) for the best Nepalese meal around, we found that TomTom wanted us to drive down a major highway that wasn't even built! So when we took a backroad, TomTom quickly came up with the goods - a Neo-Romanesque castle that appeared down the end of a dirt lane: and the first snow of the season!
