    Descending into one of the Vietcong tunnels in Cu Chi ~ although they have been widened considerably to accomodate the ...ahem...wider western physique....i still couldn't control the panic and claustrophobia. So...no tunnel crawling for this girl... Views[621] An example of a tiger trap, adapted by the Vietnamese for hunting GIs...a concealed spinning door, leading to a pit filled with sharpened bamboo spikes. Good times. Views[1687] A woman selling fruit on the streets of Saigon...she squats by the side of the road if you want to buy, and uses a small scale to calculate the price. Views[440] Entering Vietnam from Cambodia..the border crossing at Chau Doc. About 700x more official than the border crossing between Laos and Cambodia, which was basically two wooden huts with men wielding passport stamps. I guess thats the difference between 'official border crossing' and 'unofficial border crossing'!!!! Views[474] The National Theatre on the left, and the Caravelle Hotel on the right. Saigon.     Sightseeing in Saigon...Hannah and her moto driver, checking out the Caravelle hotel. Views[504] The view from our room in Saigon...floor to ceiling windows, that open out to a view of the bustling alleyway 2 stories below....and french doors just to the left of the photo! Theres so much to look at ~ directly across from you, above you, below you, left and right....vietnamese families going about their everyday business....laundry, installing a/c units, vendors selling snacks, children running and playing...so cool. Views[489] I loved this group having a photo taken in front of this building...Ho Chi Minh City Hall Views[469] Yummy! Mekong style pancake...basically an omelette with a bit of batter mixed in, and bean sprouts/green pepper. i made it through half of it. Views[483] one of the night markets in Saigon...you can buy anything from snake wine to designer shoes to jewelry to fake puma runners. Views[542]
     
    Hannah, negotiating prices with 2 moto drivers. We ended up paying them 10,000 dong each to take us to the ben thanh market, about 75cents. Views[489] Me, with the man who will be my moto driver pulling up behind me, as we leave the market! This was taken just after i made a valiant effort to finish that omelette.... Views[445]

    Me at CKS Intl. Airport, very bored. I was there from about 12midnight until my flight to Singapore, about 7am. Ha ha, and also ~ you can see up my nose! (but I still like this pic....)
