Lockers on the Loose World Trip

The Day Before Leaving

UNITED KINGDOM | Thursday, 24 July 2008 | Views [475] | Comments [4]

Still haven't really come to terms with the fact I am leaving for Tokyo tomorrow morning. I don't seem to have given much attention to quite important things like working out how to get from the airport to our youth hostel. I'm kind of thinking we'll be able to work things out when we get there. Then again, I've never experienced anything near to what I imagine Tokyo to be like so I am not sure where my confidence is coming from. The need to repack my rucksack and take things out is in the back of my mind but still doesn't seem urgent enough for me to stop reading random travel websites and I can see myself now in a panic at midnight despite an early start tomorrow. In fact, I will probably be going to bed as Robbie is getting up seen as he has decided to get into Japanese time early (I would prefer to be tired for a day or two in Japan rather than get up unnecessarily at 4am!) It will be time for him to sleep by the time I meet him at Heathrow whereas I think I will be in need of a coffee and a morning chat. Will we be able to stand a year of each other's company? ...

Bon voyage Gabi. Have a great time and keep away from the tsunami, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake etc or I will be a nervous wreck! Lots of love.
