Todos Santos Day 2 / Cabo

MEXICO | Monday, 8 August 2022 | Views [143]

We woke up early at 8 AM in order to go downstairs to have our breakfast – one of the bees of our B&B.

Jared wants me to mention that they had two dogs – one of the dogs was named Canela which means cinnamon in Spanish. This is bizarre because Nick's new job dog is also named Canela so we've met two Canela dogs and as many weeks.

now back to our breakfast: we had coffee and fresh juice. I had mango and JARED had peach both of which were delicious. The table was set for us and as we were the only guests we were there by ourselves which was nice. There was fruit cup on the table that had mango and papaya and watermelon in it and there was a full menu of things we could order. I got the waffle and JARED got the huevos rancheros. It was a huge feast and it was delicious. After breakfast we took a walk down to the beach. It was extremely hot and the water was roaring so we couldn't go in but we sat down and enjoyed the sand for a little bit. once again we were the only people around – you could see the whole beach and there was no one there for miles.

walking back from the beach was also hot so once we got back to the hotel we took another dip in the pool. After which we got ready to pack up and leave To Dos Santos.

On our drive through To Dos Santos we stopped at's surf shop to pick up a T-shirt and we stopped at a pharmacy to pick up a muscle relaxer. I felt good while I was having a massage but I must've slept on it wrong and my back and neck were really really hurting. I kept driving with the pain because I didn't know how the muscle relaxer would impact me and I didn't want to drive while on medication.

One of the stops was at a highly rated beach. It was down a seriously bumpy road and once again when we got there at the beach was roaring so we took a quick look and then got back in the car.

we made one other stop at the highest rated coffee shop in all of Baja Sur which is called Baja Bean. I had a coffee frappe and Jared had an Americano. We also had a huge blue blueberry scone which was very good. The coffee shop is located in a mango grove in there were several other shops around it. It was quite nice and JARED had a good time once again playing his phone game I read a little bit on my book and I laid down on the concrete to try to help my shoulder/neck a little bit.

We got to our next hotel named los Milagros easily using the navigator. Once we settled into our suite we took a pill for my back. The hotel is really nice. Once you walk through the gates it is like a little oasis and there's a fountain and a small pool and a little park. Our room is the penthouse and is referred to as a junior suite. It has a nice big bed and a couch and a full kitchen huge bathroom with very deep tub in the changing area. I would say it's about 500 ft.². Outside the windows you can see the rocks of the town. This will be the last of our hotels and I have to say that all three or eight classes as long as something doesn't go wrong here.

The pill totally knocked me out and made me feel extremely sleepy but we went to go get dinner anyway. The place we chose was further away from the tourist section of town and we were I think the only English speakers there but it was a traditional steakhouse. We had a very delicious three cheese empanada as a starter and believe it or not I had a steak while Jared had the lasagna. For dessert we had an empanada stuffed with apple which was perhaps the most disappointing part of the meal considering that our appetizer empanada was delicious. After we walked home even though we were exhausted we took a quick dip in the pool which was lovely. We were both exhausted and so we went to bed really early.

in the middle of the night I had a terrible terrible stomach ache because I ate meat. Don't think there was anything wrong with the meat I think my body has just lost the ability to process meat so I was unable to sleep very much. It was my own fault and I won't ever eat that much meat again! I was able to have trouble to sleep after about 7:30 AM and I slept until 11 and JARED slept until noon. We were exhausted! I cleaned up our hotel room a little bit because when we had arrived the night before we just threw our stuff wherever and I also researched The next place for a big Mexican eating tour! The eating continues tomorrow and then we need to not eat very much once we get home because it really has been wonderful but too much food.

My first impressions of Cabo San Lucas is that there is a lot of concrete and it seems quite dirty but it feels more Mexican than I thought it was going to considering everyone told me how to touristy it was.

JARED wants me to add one detail which is as we were walking to dinner he met the cutest little black cat who kept following him and talking to him over and over. I got a cute little video of him talking. I can imagine coming down here and finding a cat to take back home with you. The cat must've lived on the grounds of the local Elementary school as that's where we were walking past on our way to dinner.
