On the road again.....
The end of term is looming upon me and then I will be off and about around Guangdong Province for 2 weeks, visiting places like Panyu District, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Shenzhen before finally heading back to Guangzhou. The reason for doing this? Very simple - for a friend and while I will be galavanting around the countryside, I will also go to one of my student's hometown, in Panyu.
From July 23, my summer trip will really begin to take off and I'll be on the road for 4 weeks searching out hidden treasures in China.
My first stop will be Nanchang, where I will meet up with my private student and of whom I will be teaching English to on our travels. His name is Tonny and he is from Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. Apparently, his parents would like to send him to Australia for further studies and would like him to learn and know more about this vast land of ours through a typical local, if one could call me that :-)
After Nanchang, we will go to Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Xinjiang, Sichaun, Guilin, Hainan and then back to Guangzhou, where we will part company and I will find my way back to school to prepare for the new term.
In Xinjiang, I have another student and who has invited me to see her hometown. I can't wait to get there and hope I can find her ok amongst the hordes of locals. I will also meet her parents, where I can practice my body language again.
As soon as I am back, I will be posting pictures of my doings etc and of course will fill you in on the highlights of my adventures. Look out for Sichaun, as here I hope to have an experience I would never forget.
