Cows? Cows!
They're everywhere and nowhere. One of our most frequent but also most anonymous neighbours. A challenging theme in terms of finding the balance between the so often tiring and accousing documentaries about mass stock farming and the euphemistic picture we try to keep in mind.
These peaceful creatures already were subject of a book (my diploma in communication design). For this competition it finally became what was originally planned - a film -giving it a voice and viability. Being in a traineeship for On-Air Design / Design Producing at a TV station since one year now I luckily had the opportunity to gain at least some skills to make first steps into film-making.
I love the versatility in film as much as diving into subjects, focusing on forgotten and controversial issues. Documentary film-making to me is a way to express, visualize and draw attention on certain subjects and maybe even to make people think.
As a big and long kept dream this scholarship would be an amazing opportunity to give me the necessary mentorship and experience I need to enlarge my knowledge in documentary film-making. I'm keen on giving you a good story back.
Cheers!
