I still remember the first picture I ever took with my Dad‘s camera when I was ten years old. It was a shot of a steep, curvy, muddy road sourrounded with trees on a family-roadtrip. This is how my love of photography began.
When I was even younger, I kept my adventurous soul busy, exploring nature in detail by collecting insects or shells. I would spend hours just watching things, life and curious situations and can still remember watching with such enthusiasm a little crab as it changed its house right in front of me!
At the age of fourteen, I realized that visual arts, especially photography, is my way to make people see what I can´t describe with words. Photography has been my passion ever since. The lens allows me to express and remember all the fascinating impressions, feelings, and spirits I encounter when I confront another culture or even occurences at home (like in the attached story).
And now is a good moment and a good chance to work on my dream to become a professional photographer. I hope you can feel why I am apply ing and why it would make me a very happy person to win the competition. Getting first hand experience on a very professional level, I expect to boost my photographic skills.
