Well, what can I say Paris lived up to its reputation. We spen 3 days in the French capital visiting all the sights.
Friday 16th March
We arrived in Paris in the morning, our hotel was in the Bastille area that was full of restaurants and bars in the evening. We visited;
Notre Dame Cathedral and climbed the steps to the bell tower
Saint Chapel Cathedral
Place de la Concord
Church of Saint Madaline
Invalids (Military Museum) & Napoleons Tomb
Eiffel Tower climbed the 680 steps
Arch de Triumph
and walk back via the Champs Elysees
On the second day we visited the Chateu of Versailles this was about 1 hour train ride out of Paris. This was the catsle of King Louise the 14th. It was massive and every room was full of painting and extravagant. In the afternoon we visited the famous Monmarte area and including the artist area and the Moulin Rouge along with the Sacre Cuar Cathedral. We then when out for a big night of drinking.
On Sunday we spent the entire day at the Lourve Museum seeing all the famous works of art including the Mona Lisa, the Winged Victory and Venus de Milos. We then departed for Athens.
