Filippa dropped me off in town center and I walked until I found a cheap two star hotel, 4th Floor hotel. I got a cheap room for $80 bucks, fairly decent with a zebra print, leather pillow hooker motiff. I went to the store around the corner, picked up a huge piece of salmon, Skyr, flatbread and a giant apple and brought it back to my room and pigged out in my bed watching CNN.
Finally, internet ! so I enjoyed my dinner and played on Facebook for a while, drank two beers and went to bed.
I'm awake now and took advantage of the free breakfast downstairs. Chilly out today ! I definitely need a new jacket. It just feels so good to be back in town again, away from everyone, with my own space and own time alone.
I walked over to Haffie's to meet him there, caught up on each other's news and such. He left to go sing at a funeral and I went out on my own to walk the main shopping street that reminded me of Newbury St. but set in Provincetown. Having coffee now, I'll finally be able to go work out at Haffie's gym and go swimming today !
I had a great workout at this giant gym w/ Haffie and took a dip into the heated pool afterwards. He made us dinner of lemon-pepper Haddock, potatoes (!) and broccoli - sweet guy. We listened to our favorite music, drank Viking and watched Eurovision - for all of you who does not know what Eurovision is, like me, look it up on Youtube, it'll blow you away.
Later around 10pm we went to BINGO ! yes, we played Bingo at the local bar around the corner. That was pretty fun, I didn't win anything. Haf helped me out with the Icelandic numbers as they were being called but I caught on soon enough and I was figuring them out for myself afterwards.
At home we listened to his music, all wonderful, he has a recording gig on Saturday morning.
