My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am Kimberly Ann C. Pauig, a senior journalism student-- lost journalism student at that. It has always been my passion to write since high school but when I entered college, my grades show otherwise. If my love for stories of people and places could not be fully expressed in writing, it will still not hinder me from sharing it to others. This is where photography comes in. I have visited communities in the past, mostly poverty stricken, and I have observed that people, especially the kids, enjoy being photographed. Whenever I take a shot, and let them see it, there is this glow on their faces that struck me. From then on, I seek time to visit them and take their photographs. Their stories, smiles and problems keep my feet on the ground. And my camera is just a tool to bridge them all together and share to others who cannot be able to hear them.
