Day 39 - Oaxaca

MEXICO | Sunday, 6 July 2014 | Views [195]

Started the day with a run - hardly doing much to counter all the tasty food & Oaxacan hot chocolates I've been having but it was something right?

We met Jodie for breakfast Tamales & hot chocolates at a local food market & then went on a fantastic tour of the Jardin Etnobotanico de Oaxaca- the Oaxacan Botanical Gardens.

Of course following the tour it was time to eat again to this time we ventured to the other end of town to a meat market where we feasted on chorizo, steak and chicken with some bbq'd vegetables & salsa.

This was great fuel for our afternoon shopping extravaganza - not great for our budget or backpacks though :)

We ate amazing Mole Negro con Pollo for dinner, watched some amazing street performances & searched high & low for a bar that had Mezcal de Creme. We settled on baileys & another chocolate in the end- an amicable outcome & excellent nightcap.
