Venice: City on the water

ITALY | Thursday, 13 May 2010 | Views [375]

I think arriving in Venice I was museumed out so that I decided not to go into any of the bigger galleries. Instead I decided to conserve my time and euro and walk around, get lost and ride the vaporretto for just a day to go see the islands around the main island of Venice. Hopefully I will be back in Museum mode for the Louvre, and have money to see it of course. ^^. So far saving quite of bit of money not eating out in Venice, an overpriced city with limited options. Instead I have been going to the food markets in the morning picking up some vegetables and bread and the cheese from florence has tided me through...Although probably the only one travelling that packs a lunch to go out sightseeing...hehehe.
