Islas de Gigantes: The Unknown, but not hidden
Philippines | Monday, July 1, 2013 | 5 photos
Photography is not really my thing until I reached college and realized that it is not a simple point and shoot stuff. I began to appreciate and discriminate its beauty when I'm so hooked in reading fashion and travel magazines in early 90's.Ancient culture and history never failed to fascinate me. I'm self-motivated and passionately curious of the things around me and its connection with each other that's why I'm fond of documenting people, stuffs, and events in places I have visited. Truly photography is an art of communicating and I strongly believe that through photos, you could read the mind, feel the emotion and mood of the artist. Through this scholarship, I'm confident that I could gain not only the basics and techniques of photography but the significance of the story behind every image. For me, the experience, first hand information and coaching are the most valuable prizes of the competition.I desire to capture priceless pictures because it is an effective way to discover what is beyond reality. Because photos could help people understand better the context of a story. Photos could help educate the society and become eye openers by exploring what is untold, unknown but not hidden.
