Well everyone as you can see I have uploaded a few photos ( which took much more than a few minutes) of the first week. We are alive and well. The photos are a bit out of sequence but bear with me I can only get better over time. We are actually about to leave the next city we are in - Puebla, 2 hrs east of Mexico City and going on to Oaxaca a further 5 hrs east. We are travelling by comfy buses which have on board toilets ( thank goodness). I'll try to do a story on Puebla soon and some of those photos .It is a very piocturesque city, It is still a hot dry heat and we are at about 2,000m altitude. We are not huffing and puffing as much now as we go up stairs etc. Mexico has hundreds of churches - all ornately decorated (plenty of gold leaf). Puebla was founded in 16/04/1531 and its Centro Historico has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987. It has more 2,600 historic buildings. It is set out in grid formation so it is easy to find your way around. We had coffee and cake tonight after dinner. It was as dear as the mains - approx A$6 each. I know that is very cheap but it helps us to stay in our budget. On our last day in Mexico city we went to the Frida Kahlo museum ( The Blue House) and instead of paying M$100 they had a senior price of M$15 ( approx A$1.50) - being a grey nomad is great. The metro in Mexico City was cheap - A$1 to travel any distance one way and A$1 back. And the museums are free to enter on Sundays. I haven't seen any pools around where we have been staying but I know that they are around further out of the city centres - miss the water areobics - walking is not quite the same. Pilates is hard to do on a ceramic tiled floor but at least I'm doing a few stretches every day and trying to do some on the bed - but not quite the same. Hope everyone is doing the right things and keeping fit and healthy. Rang my mum via skype yesterday and must admit to a few tears. Bye for now
