We woke up to more rain and took our time making breakfast. After, we headed north back to Collingwood and back to the same holiday park there because the owner told us before that we could fish off the beach and use his fishing rods. As we were waiting for high tide, we used their washer and dryer since we didn't have any clean clothes left. Around 2:30, we headed down to the beach with raincoats and rain pants on because it was raining and blowing. Go figure.
The park owner was already down there with the rods in their holders and some dead bait on the hooks. We talked to him for a bit then took ahold of the rods. The weather continued to be unfavorable. The owner fished for herring which he caught easily and then put on our hooks. Even the fresh bait didn't bring in any kingfish or other New Zealand native fish. We stayed down there on the shore for quite sometime, trying to be patient. Around 4:30 we packed it up.
On our way back south, we stopped at the same ice cream place for another treat. We went to Countdown for food and booze and the to a holiday park in Motueka. We finished off almost all of our drinks and went to sleep.
