    An elderly man sells the distinctive ‘sesame round bread’ at his stall in the Souk of the Muslim Quarter, Jerusalem. The Old City of Jerusalem is home to a some of the holiest sites in the world for Jews, Muslims, and Christians alike. This can lead to tension between the inhabitants, with the surrounding area of East Jerusalem playing host to the hugely controversial barrier wall that separates Israel from the Palestinian West Bank. The historic site of Petra is one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world and is one of the 7 new wonders of the world. The city is carved out of the rose rock of the mountain walls, and offers incredibly complex and ornate monuments and tombs, it is understandably one of Jordan’s most visited tourist attractions.
