A Middle Eastern Odyssey

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited - A Middle Eastern Odyssey

A Bedouin camel rests in the midday sun in the Wadi Rum desert, Jordan. The desert is famed for being location where T.E. Lawrence staged the Arab revolt from in the early 20th century. The Bedouin community still live in the desert, resisting the trappings of the Western world. Using techniques that have been passed down for generations, the Bedouin continue to live off the land much like their ancestors did.
