A Middle Eastern Odyssey

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited - A Middle Eastern Odyssey

A horse and carriage charge down the 1.5km siq at the ancient Nabatean city of Petra, Jordan. The historic site of Petra is one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world and is one of the 7 new wonders of the world. The city is carved out of the rose rock of the mountain walls, and offers incredibly complex and ornate monuments and tombs, it is understandably one of Jordan’s most visited tourist attractions.
