I just left from Porto, Portugal. My couchsurf contact didnt work out so I stayed in a hostel a few nights. It worked out great. I met some good folks to hang out with. I went out with a girl named Ute from Germany one night, spent the day in Guimeres with an American from California named Brent, and went out another night with an Australian girl named Carly. Porto is a beautiful old town, by the way its where Port Wine originates. The river front at the Duomo river is probably the most beautiful area to go and has a great nightlife. The Portugese dont start at the bars or anything till about midnight, so up until then its kinda dead. They really believe in the Siesta here. Guimeres, where I spent one day is where Portugal was founded. It dated to 1183 I believe. So, Im in Lisbon right now, and Im at a computer where I cant upload my pics from Porto so in a few days I will upload them if I can.
