really quick...

dear all,

sorry for the lack of stories, paris was crazy busy and now were back at work  we dont have the internet anymore.sorry!!!so this is only quick..

paris was amazing! the eiffel tower was beautiful, the view was a little smoggy but still great. the arc de triomphe was hectic, there are 12 roads all into one huge round-a-bout that has no rules, so cars were everywhere (no insurance company covers any car on the round-a-bout its that crazy). the moulin rouge was great, a fair amount of boob but still quiet classy. did a walking tour and saw alot, including notre dame. visited mont marte and the beautiful sacre coure church. went on a boat tour along the seine river was very pretty as well...and last but not least shopped (but didnt buy anything) along the champs elysee, the 2nd most expensive shop in the world.

the trip back was a little long, caught a subway train, then a normal train, a bus to the plane, then the plane, then another plane, then the bus again finally into edinburgh and said goodbye to mum, dad and bec as they go on their scotland 3 day tour. but our travelling wasnt over, then caught the train and finally a taxi back to faskally. its freezing at the moment, tempretures have been down to -10 degrees and a top of 2 degrees..bbbrrr..

dan and i are off to perth today, we bought a beautiful christmas tree but dont have a star for it!

hope all is well, were all fine and having a ball. mum, dad and bec loved edinburgh and have already seen the area where the maclennan family are from (dads mums side (nancy hetherington), so even though its cold its beautiful and theyre having a ball..how many people can say theyve had a white christmas!!

thankyou to everyone who sent us christmas cards, the battens, bassos, the barings, grandma and grandpa, the millotts, tash, brenda and max and di and oma, theyre lovely and are decorating our mantle piece! sue, your lovely australian decorations make our tree look a little more aussie like!

love to all, jess xo

Hi everyone, we cant add to jess and dans blog but will write about our day briefly on the comments instead. The Isle of Skye is rugged but beautiful and we are having a great time.Toured all day and saw some amazing sights. Walked up the side of a mountain which nearly killed us but the view was worth it. The weather forcast was bad but the forcasters got it wrong thankgoodness so no rain and not too cold.Glad you are having lots of rain (thanks for the texting Mum) you need it more than we do. Meg is with us Tina and having a good time. The whole group is lovely, I can see why the youngsters have such a great time backpacking. Many are international students studing in England who are now on semester break so are taking the opportunity to travel. We arrive at the caravan park on Monday so there will be little internet contact from now on sorry. Thanks to everyone who has commented on the blog, its great to hear news from home.Glad dinner went well Dad. Good luck with your trial this week Trent. Enjoy the lead up to Christmas everyone Lots of love from Mandy, Steve and Bec xxxooo

Hi All

Glad you had a great time and glad you received the card and pressies. We had the Batten christmas day at our place yesterday and EVERYONE was there even the Tasmanians who we hadnt seen for 7 years!! It was lovely to all catch up! The shops here are getting crazy hard to park! Not long to go now! We have something on everynight except Wednesday till christmas so its very hectic but fun. Missy is working everyday (She thinks she will die!) and Sarah has locum work between Maroondah, Angliss and Healesville nearly every day till she comes away on 1/1. She found out her last rotation is Cardio at Box Hill so she is excited and nervous about that. Keep Warm.

Lots of Love
