dear all
firstly, we loaded a few fotos onto the blog, but were having a few problems with the net so hopefully will be able to do a few more fotos later.
today we relaxed for the morning, good ol vegemite on toast for brekkie. then walked to the arches (kinda looked like brandenburg gate in munich) about 45 minutes from our hostel..it didnt look that far on the map. The weather was a little overcast and it drizzled for a while and we had a top temp of 2 degreees!!!hooray, but you get warm when you walk that far.
Behind the arches is autoworld, a car museum that has been displaying cars since the 1930's ish. A huge amount of cars and steve and dan loved it..bec not so much. They had a remote controlled car races going on, so we watched the little cars speed around the tracks while we rested our legs before the massive walk back..i have never heard dan whinge like he did today..seriously harden up dan..his whinging on the way didnt help for the further 45 minute trip home..and it was still raining, and by then steve joined in on the whinging..men.
bec cooked us stirfry for dinner, was very nice.and mandy cooked the rice in tiny little plastic bags..must be a european thing. were about to walk back into town..lol, dan and dad are excited already..to see the main square which gets all lit up with pretty lights.
tomorrow were heading of to ghent for 4 nights, poor steve is off to work whilst we continue to gorge ourselves on begian delights..someones got to pay for our holiday.
brussels has been a very busy city, their are endless walking paths and tiny streets around the town, with cute stalls and good smelling food. were still practising our french, but ghent will probably speak more flemish..great. so far weve all loved brussels.
love to all
love mandy and jess xoxo
