Well it has been an exciting last couple of weekends as we went on a couple of Sunday drives...yes we were the old tourist that drive really slowly, looking at everything and holding up the traffic.
We can't believe how close everything is here, compared to home.
You look at the map and think 'This is going to take a couple of hours' but in real fact it's so quick!
We went for a drive to Blackpool last Sunday, where it is a little beach town with amusements EVERYWHERE.
They were having their annual 'Illumination' month and we went to go and have a look.
It took us and hour to get there from Manchester, we were thinking 2 1/2 hours so we bought cloths to stay the night. However we drove to Blackpool, looked at the lights couldn't find a park so we drove home again.
Last weekend we went to Southport to see the ocean, as we didn't get to see it during the day when we went to Blackpool.
The beaches here are SO ugly and crappy, there is seaweed everywhere and the tide is so far out. We then drove around trying to find some country back streets and some farms but where we went wasn't long enough to see at lot of them.
We then found this racing track that Jamie insisted on going to see. It's a go-kart track (Scott can come over and race on it). It's also a track for upcoming racers. We watched some of the laps, there was a Ferrari just doing a few laps, very nice car!
We then drove home on the motorway and put our little JD to bed.
THE END!
