Second Day
We traveled from Phnom Pehn to Siem Reap (Angkor) it was around 350km but it took us 7hrs. We called into this little servo type place where they only sell food. Here we ate Spider and Cricket...we know what your saying, geww! However I liked the spider and Jamie liked the cricket, so between us we're set for living cheaply. We called into another place in the middle of nowhere and had lunch, it wasn't a bad place we had water views. Apparently it connects onto the largest lake in Cambodia.
We checked into our hotel which was really nice accommodation. We then headed off to the Wood and Calving place where they teach the deaf and unfortunate kids how to make statues, silk painting, and clothing.
After that we went on a boat ride of Tonie Sap Lake (largest lake in Cambodia, as before) where we saw the floating villages. All the people who live in them are Vietnamese, they live there because they don't have to pay rent and it's too expensive for them to live in Siem Reap.
We stayed there in the afternoon to try and get the sunset but it was behind the clouds so we couldn't see it. This little girl was selling Bananas and we gave in to her cuteness. She kept repeating "Hello, Banana one dollar, Ok". It was only US$1 so we didn't mind and we got 10 Bananas.
