Yes, we walked to Home Depot again today to pick up some 1/4" rod to make some hooks for the side drain pipe, as well as a flexible hose to re-direct the water from the rear down pipe to the black plastic pipe along the side of the house.
Once we returned home (it's still quite humid here and Marg was fading by the time we returned home), we installed the Home Depot stuff and glued it all together. The forecast indicates we will have some significant rain this weekend, so I'll be watching closely to see how it all works.
On the other side of the hose we connected a smaller (1 and a 1/2") flexible pipe to the sump pump outlet and routed that to the roadway. Hopefully that will move the water out of the side of the house and away down the street. Finished off the mulching on the southern side of the house.
Planning is now underway for the backyard - we are off to various Home Depots and nurseries tomorrow to collect huge amounts of plants and other necessaries for the front and rear of the house. 7 days to go to the wedding !
