My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Twelve years ago, I made an important decision. I left my country and a new exciting chapter of my life began.
I met my husband and started a family with two wonderful boys. We have lived in five countries, six different cities and visited numerous places.
For this reason, we have been exposed to rich diverse cultures where we experienced their way of life not as tourists but as locals. That is why I always attempt to photograph life as I see it, as it happens.
Photography is an artistic challenge and my knowledge of it in its infancy stages. Nevertheless, I want the world to experience and live through my images.
My 10-year-old son who has taken a profound interest in what I do, wants too to study photography so that he can one day work for National Geographic. My aspiration is to be able to provide him not just with guidance but to act as his mentor as well.
By winning this scholarship, I endeavour to enhance my skills to a professional level. Moreover, the opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards, is a once in a lifetime experience, and photographing Oman’s beauty additionally rewarding, which will no doubt be the platform to another amazing chapter in my life.
