Day to day life in the streets of India

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Many blacksmiths can be seen working in the streets of India. They simply insert a grate into a hole dug in the ground and a simple hand crank blower is then usually operated by his wife or a son.
Unfortunately this job alone is not enough to support a whole family thus it is usual for them to have a second occupation.
