out of town

FRANCE | Saturday, 10 May 2014 | Views [105]

A few times now I've escaped the cuckoo and headed out of town. About 20 miles but over an hour away on the bus is Cete (missing an accent or two), home of the earlist and of course best cherries in all of France. The harvest is now in full swing, but they still sell for €5/kilo, because all in euros  everything seems more expensive but probably not really. My main reason for going is for the best hot chocolate, even though I can't find any to buy in the shops. As a special request I  hope to be able to put up a pic of the cakes they sell-atrue work of art!

Weather sun and rain , this week, no sunburn top up. As I write thunder is rumbing loudly and boy is it raining......any sympathy for those who had stopped for a barbeque  and picnic in the lay by on the road???? Sorry photo upload not working today.
