Nepal is hot around the year but that does not keep the people from working. During hot summer days buffalo farmers have to carry large umbrellas to cover themselves from the burning heat whilst their cattle enjoy their daily walk.

The eldest generation is often mistreated in Lahachowk. The mothers live with their sons whose wives do not want to care for the elderly mother-in-laws which causes them to often visit the friendly neighbours homes to seek positive atmosphere.

The women in Lahachowk don’t have direct employment which leaves them in charge feeding the animals such as goats, cows and buffalos. Each morning at sunrise the women leave their homes to cut grass and return after their families are awake to cook them breakfast.
