To ensure we fulfilled our cultural obligations we rose at 6.20am this morning and headed off in a 4wd with a guide into the mountains. We took the road to cafayate, which winds its way through some amazing country. THe scenary was amazing and not even the photos do it justice. We did some climbing but mostly it was just sight seeing..
ONce in cafayete we visited some wineries and did some tasting, went through the wine making process..
The highlight of the day was the food. Firstly we tasted lama which was delicious. Then for lunch we shared a hot plate of meat, intestines, kidney, sausage..everything..some of it was a little hard to stomach but well worth it.
After watching some bungy jumping off a bridge we cruised back to salta. we had a ciesta then played cards and drunk a litre bottle of vodka..the vodka cost $5!!! so cheap..in fact everything here is cheap..a full 3 course meal will only cost about $10..
we saw alicia off then headed to the pub district..it was pumping for a thurssday night, and we got right amongst it..lach spewed in the entrance of the club but nobody saw it..it was hilarious haha went all over our feet haha..good night all in all!!
