I was supposed to be spending two days and nights in Bangkok but after the adventure getting there I only had an evening and a morning. There was only time to check into a guesthouse off of the Khao San Road and meet up with M&A for drinks and food.
KS Rd isn't nearly as unpleasant as I'd imagined it to be. It's a cross between the Barras and the carnival at the SECC. We had some good food and drinks and wandered around. Everyone is trying to sell you something but it's mostly tat and I wasn't tempted. Not enough room in my tiny rucksack for extras. M had a date to meet a tout at McDonalds at 10pm for "Ping Pong", but I'm not sure if he was spectating or participating. Sadly he didn't go so we never found out.
Friday afternoon we were back at the airport ready for the fourth country in as many days.
