We have now reached the end of carnival in Brazil. It has been an amazing amazing experience. We have been down at the main parades almost every day/night, following the 'bloccos' (different vans with djs/bands playing, which you purchase a tshirt for entry to) until early into the morning. Hence most of the days have been spent recovering, which hasn't been too much of a waste as there is little to see in Salvador.
We followed a blocco with Bob Sinclar (family - he's a pretty famous dj. Obviously dad you can pretend you know him if you like), which had the most amazing atmosphere. Last night, carnival ended in style, and a few of the girls and I followed a blocco sponsered by Skol beer, which pretty much sums up the tone of the party - it was full of gringos hitting it hard.
I am currently sitting in our hostel amongst a sea of very exhausted people slowly attempting to recover from the last few days. Very much looking forward to heading to a beach resort tomorrow for 4 days before we head to another party hostel. The calm before (and after) the storm
