    To say Christianity is 'a big deal' in Ghana is an understatement. Ghanaians are very passionate about their God and most shops and taxis are emblazoned with words of praise. by: eloisefuss Views[841] Hairdressers and tailors line the Ghanaian streets. Like many, this Accra hairdresser is a flurry of activity as women get their 'hair attached'- yes, most of their big long braids and shiny shiny hair is fake! Women visit the hairdresser every 2-6 weeks to get 'new hair'. by: eloisefuss Views[1558] One face can tell so many stories. I met this man as he walked home from work in the Anamuka Hills. 'I am a farmer. I work hard for my family,' he told me. by: eloisefuss Views[775] Millions of used computers, TVs, VCRs, monitors, cell phones, and other electrical equipment arrive in Ghana every year, sent from all over the world. This cheaper, second hand electrical equipment, make the goods affordable to Ghanaians who cannot afford it new. This joyous man is a common sight in the welcoming and friendly Ghana- a land where I discovered a rare species of gigantic smile. by: eloisefuss Views[1064] Bright plays with a handmade toy in the New Life Orphanage, Cape Coast. He might be pretending it's a gun, but he is lucky to have grown up free from violence and war. Most of Ghana is peaceful and free of conflict.
