I started traveling at 18. Just me, my canvas army backpack hand painted with flowers, and enough heart and courage to take on the entire world. Morocco taught me the hospitality of countries off the Western axis; even though I was alone, I had never felt so much a part of the people around me. I am part of a world family. Now I go about finding my family everywhere I go. I danced at Sukee Faye's wedding in Senegal, went to baby Babacad's naming ceremony in the Gambia.
Anytime I can find a deal, get an opportunity, meet a friend who opens an invitation to join in their world- I go. I pack my beloved backpack and takeoff on the winds... Discovering new places, new ideas, new perspectives fufills me more than any other part of my life, so I will never stop following those stars, looking at the maps, and dreaming of my next big adventure.
