My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Cambodia | Thursday, December 13, 2012 | 5 photos
I grew up as a dreamer,my favourite books as a child were Verne's,scientific texts and natural atlases.
Curiosity is still driving my life and when my mother gave me as her last present a camera I promised I would have used it to keep her eyes open to the world. It was a turning point in my life.
After 11 years of work in Academia I knew it was not for me.Photography allows me to express myself, brings me to those places I dream of and consent me to share with people untold tales. This year I embarked in a round the world trip with my camera and realized this is my perfect match.
I am challenging myself to shoot places in their raw state trying to reach deep into real stories. It is not easy to set up these kind of projects. The fellowship would allow me to see how this is done at professional levels. This is an amazing opportunity that would propel me and my skills tremendously guiding me on how to work efficiently and making the most of every situation.
Photography is my way to educate people about different cultures and put across my opinions in an articulated visual way.I am reborn and I am ready to explore and crystallize moments that hopefully will assist in making a change.
