Zoos can be valuable assets for species survival and conservation but this is a delicate subject that cannot be easily discussed nor dismissed. Modern zoos born as aristocrats menageries sparked human fascinations for wild animals. Today, zoos entartain and educate the public running conservation projects alongside. Unfortunately private menageries still exist.
