Galicia - A Coruna

SPAIN | Saturday, 3 September 2016 | Views [436]

Galicia, Viveiro

Left the mountains and Asturias for the coast in Galacia. This is the most westerly region of Spain and renowned for shellfish and octopus. The area looks completely different, much more rugged and full of eucalyptus forests. Stopped for a night at Viveiro, not that special so left the following morning.

Galacia, A Coruna

Took the scenic coast road to A Coruna for our next stopover. Got a great free stopover under the tower of Hercules. On the headland. Did a city walk and then had tea in the old town. We had a mega seafood platter that was delicious. Although we still find it hard to eat the Spanish way after 9pm at night!!! Did a bike ride around the coastline the following morning and then left for Costa de Morte – yikes! Hope its not called the coast of death because of what they do to the daft English tourists!! see you on the other side!!!
