Mega hot day today so decided to explore inside some historic buildings. 33C with clear skies. Visited Parliment house, treasury house and gardens, fitzroy garden and the Melbourne museum. All great. Having a chill in our cool apartment at the mo, deciding which nationality of food to have for tea tonight!!!
Some things I have learnt about oz so far:1. Don't ask for half a beer or the bar man will give you his best blank look. Beer comes in pots, schooners or pints.2. You have to wait for the green man at all crossings and you have to walk really fast to make it across before the cars, trams, bikes etc set off at full speed. Not sure how little old people make it across, although I haven't seen any little old people..........
3. You need to be pretty rich to get drunk in Melbourne!
