Oi All,
This is our final day in South America for this trip!
Forgot to mention. A cruel act. We were sitting down eating a big lunch just metres away from skinny models who were being photographed under the museum for contemporary art the other day. They could see the food and we could see that they wanted it. If we stayed any longer the makeup artists would have needed to wipe the drool off their chins.
Yesterday we went to the museum of natural history and saw an exhibition called corpo humano which was a display of real human bodies that had been slice up and plastinated to display the various functional groups of the body such as: skeleton, skin, respiratory system etc; plenty of stroke victims, cancer victims, ectoptic pregnancies, various foetus up to 20 weeks. Very graphic. etc.
Vanessa was fascinated by it. I really liked the sponge like display of circulatory system showing just the plastinated veins. Looked liked tree roots.
