We drove through Florence while they were in the midst of their rhodadendrum festival. We had been jumpy the whole way every time we saw a police car due to our car (AKA Phill or Philldo) due to it not having a wing mirror and all we've been through, but managed to super glue it back on and all is feeling smoother.
Ok, hiking on dunes is not the most fun i've ever had, the heat was intense and we very soon stopped to pitch up the tent etc... its about 4 miles of sand to the sea!
The beauty of sleeping on sand is its way more comfitable than any other place we slept. We ended the day with a fire and laying out side and looking up at more stars than i've ever seen in my life.
