The wall has 21,000 inscriptions, almost half of the 45,000+ immigrants who arrived by boat in Fremantle & Albany during the mid to late 18th century and early 19th century. by: danielcraig Views[319] The port city of Fremantle has a proud history. Not only was it the first colony in Australia to be established without convict settlers it was also the early gateway to the vast expanses and riches of Western Australia.
