This obscene monstrosity was the result of Nicolae Ceausescu's vision to rebuild Bucharest in the image of Pyongyang. Historic churches were leveled and citizens were evicted and displaced to make way for Project Bucharest. Cost to build it are estimated at 3 billion euro while the people of Romania starved.
