Took a photo on a self guided historic tour of Delft that inspired a painting called View of Delft by the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. He also painted Girl with a Pearl Earring

Visited the birthplace of Rembrandt in Leiden. The house was demolished in the beginning of the 20th century but the plaque on the wall is a reminder of his beginnings. In 1957 a German artist produced an artwork depicting an artist (and Danielle) studying a self portrait of Rembrandt.

The Old Church in Delft is also known as the Leaning Church of Delft. The tower leans two meters from vertical and has a bell that weighs 9 tonnes. Because of it's strong and potentially damaging vibrations, it's only rung on special occasions.
