    Since leaving Easter Island we never thought we would see another one of these again until we found out the the museum in Vina del Mar had one. There are other original Moai artifacts scattered around the world including the head of a Moai at a park in Glendale California. Apparently that one was obtained in a legal transaction between the founder of the park and Rapanui fisherman who were using it as a ballast for the boat.
