We took a tour from La Serena to the Elqui Valley and visited a few of the sites including a museum dedicated to Gabriela Mistral a Noble Peace Prize winner for literature, a papaya market, a pisco sour distillery and at night we went to an observatory to look at stars and planets from a high powered telescope.
