    These are the tasty Patagonia camels we ate the other night called Guanaco. Views[382] Leaving Pantagonia on the ferry. Views[335] Some photos of geese.     We sat and stared at this area while we ate trail mix and watched the coolest avalanches come crashing down. Views[263] Views[216] The French Valley. Views[257] On our way back down from the top. Views[227] We made it to the top of a 360 degree view called Britanico. Views[280]
     
    Tower on the right is Cuernos and towers on the left are still up for debate. We think it's the back side of Torres del Paine but have heard conflicting stories. Views[248] After many hours on the trail we finally made it to the Britanico Mirador or This guy was a maniac. He carried his baby with him everywhere and even places others couldn't go. We later learned he was a park ranger in Chamonix, France. Views[262] Day 3 was by far the longest of all the hikes. We walked 25 km we and saw one landscape change after another.     The cabin we had at Los Cuernos was really great. It had a much needed wood stove to dry our clothes and a sky light to look at the stars. Views[260] A great start to Day 3! No more rain! Views[266] Sunrise at refugio Cuernos with a bit of a headache from the box wine. Views[266] Everyone follows the same trail and ends at the same refugio so we get to know each other pretty well. Here we are on the beach with some new friends sharing some box wine after dinner. Views[266] Refugio Los Cuernos was a welcome site after an entire day of hiking in the rain. Views[262]
     
    The clouds hung high enough for us to get a few views in on our way to the next refugio. Views[257] This was Day 2 heading to refugio Los Cuernos. It rained the entire day. Views[290] There was a fox wandering around at the top of Torres del Paine. Views[270] This was the view we had when we arrived at the top of Torres del Paine. Super cold, wind blowing, clouds. We heard later in the day it even snowed. A little disappointing but our slogan has been you win some you lose some. Views[283] We were told Day 1 was the toughest climb of them all and they were right. If it got any more difficult I think we would of needed mountaineering gear. Views[209]
     
    Day 1 of the W Trek. Off to Torres del Paine! Views[254] A serious game of Tumbling Towers. Appropriately named for our upcoming adventure. Views[234] Another great view of the towers from just outside the refugio. Only wish we had this view when we got to the top. Views[253] Our first refugio we stayed at when we arrived at the W Trek. We didn't know it at the time but this was a rare view of Torres del Paine or One of my favorite hostel names. Views[235]
     
    Common site here. I'm pretty sure there isn't a junk yard near by. Views[249] Instead of a garbage can most areas have a trash basket in front of their home. A little unusual but with so many stray dogs at least they can't get to it. Views[291] Love the name of the local newspaper! Views[222] The case of the street sign creature is solved.     Believe it or not this is a fancy seafood restaurant made out of shipping containers. Views[261] Last Hope Bay in Puerto Natales. Views[272] This couldn't represent how hard the wind blows here any better. Views[248] We couldn't figure out if the little figure on the street signs was a penguin or the dancing polar bear on the Coke commercials. Views[248] Menu at the restaurant we ate at last night. Of course we had to try the camel. Tasted like pot roast. Views[266]
     
    Wandering the streets of Puerto Natales we got a kick at some of the restaurants and hostel names. Views[227] Since it's so windy the ranches use poplar trees which are as they say here To see this unique site felt like being on another planet. Views[458] Arriving at the glacier! It dried up 60 years ago leaving a pool of icebergs behinds. Views[497] A little perspective how big this river used to be. Views[556]
