    The bull with the condor tied to its back eventually tires, at which point, the condor is untied and released hours later back into the surrounding mountains. The festivities however continue for the rest of the day, with displays of traditional bullfighting. Views[381] The bull, angered by the condor tied to it’s back, is eventually released and begins to buck around the ring in an attempt to free itself. Conversely, the bull represents the invading Spaniards. The ceremonial event is steeped in tradition and symbolic especially for indeginous Peruvians. On the day of the event, the condor is blessed and paraded around the makeshift ring for all to see before being attached to a chosen raging bull by villagers.
